THE KENYAN REFERENDUM VOTE: COAST SHOWBIZ STYLE (PART 2)

With thousands of Kenyans going to the polls tomorrow as early as 6am in the morning to cast their vote, we as Mambo Badd took it as responsibility to enlighten you how the Coast showbiz thinks of tomorrow's vote.

So we have been talking to several celebrities in the Coast and this is what they had to say.

11. DJ Kaytrixx (CodeRED and Straight Up Live / Vibe City -KTN)

YES - The constitution that they are proposing aint perfect but it has more good than bad in it and its far much better than what we have now so i am for it...

Guys should maintain Peace when they are voting...no matter who wins. We vote maturely coz we all Adults,no need to fight..

Watu Wapige Kura,wasipige mtu!!

12. Papsie Francis (Operations Manager - SpinWorld International)

Am voting yes.

If u have taken time to read this, u will find out that it is far much better than what we have at the moment. It may not be 100% but its workable.

We Kenyan's have waited too long to turn this down now.

13. Kimsa (Gospel Artist)

Am voting No.

A message for Kenyans is they should vote soberly and not to be influencd on tribal lines.they should consider the merits and demerits of the proposed constitution and how it affects them as ordinary wanainchi.

14. Tierra Gee (Artist)

Hehee:-) After re-reading the draft my take is the GREEN vote.

I don't agree with a couple of clauses in the proposed new draft but I believe we will be able to change some with the provision that requires a million public signatures to enforce amendment.

For a start let Kenyans make some significant changes to the existing constitution.

I therefore urge Kenyans out there to think carefully about the future and vote wisely. Whatever the outcome lets accept the fate and be united as always.

15. Hassan Faisal (MD - Tamarind Village and CEO - Coastal Films Kenya)

Am supporting Yes.

Reason being that we Kenyans need a change which we have waited for a long time. A constitution can not satisfy everbody but atleast 80 percent of the document is perfect.

16. DJ Nelly (Pilsner Mfalme Winner 2010)

I hate politics...yes or no,'nigga' we messed up man!

Living costs at personal level wont change....so count me out on that man.

17. Xzella (Gospel Artist)

Its a definate NO my guy, wish I knew I would have carried my draft copy and take you through the chapters.

My voting will be on two side both based upon Reason and Conviction (ONE as a patriotic kenyan on looking at the preceedence set by our fathers of our independence to unite us as a people of a common destiny, pride and goal - the very essence of our political heritage and in keeping with the promise of the declaration of our independence to which we owes to the peace and liberty it promised, and TWO as a Christian based on morality or what we deem to be of our highest moral standard.)
On reason there exist no law on the land that is open to external influence as it is in our law in its view to perform its international obligation to allow international convention to become applicable in our land without parliament involvement. Several doubt on citizenship, Land, devolution, detention without trial,on counties etc

On conviction as a christian i will not allow others to bleed so that other people will roll on to affluence, it will be very unfair even to life itself. We can not stop and do nothing when we have the ability to speak on behalf of the unborn, whose life will become easily wished away just because of some REASONS. Expanding the provision for the extension of the Kadhi courts is completely unjustifiable, they could be left to be as they were.

On the part of the implementation of the draft if passed, that the parliament will enact some legislation and policies which we dont have at present as we vote is doubting because we will not be able to read there intention of the future but just suppose that they will do what they have always been good at being bought for political gains.which means they can enact anything.

Mzeiya thats just a few of my thoughts.

18. Sokoro (Artist)

Vote yes...

The draft is better than the current constitution...

Say No To Violence!

19. Brayo (CEO - Skeme Events)

Am voting "YES" because of the vision 2030 which work hand in hand with proposed constitution.

We go and vote for our rights as Kenyan and we are people who will change Kenya.

20. Choppahman (Artist)

Am voting Yes, for changes that we all need ....

Kenyans just vote for your self and vote for the Kenya you want.
