Kenyans will most probably raise the viewer ratings for The Apprentice this season as one of their own is part of the 16 candidates to become the ultimate apprentice.
30 year old Liza Mucheru is one of the 16 set to be competing for the ultimate prize. Liza is an entrepreneur by proffesion and resides in Texas where she is also married.
The Apprentice is an American reality television show hosted by real estate magnate, businessman and television personality, Donald Trump, created by Mark Burnett and broadcast on NBC. Billed as "The Ultimate Job Interview", the show stars sixteen to eighteen business people competing in an elimination-style competition for a one-year, $250,000 starting contract of running one of business magnate Trump's companies.
The show first aired in January 2004 and has run for nine seasons, with the seventh, eighth and ninth seasons featuring celebrities competing for charity. Two more seasons, one featuring celebrities and the other featuring regular candidates will air in the same 2010–2011 season.

Liza was born in Kenya and was part of the Kenyan National Golf team and was recruited to play golf at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. She completed her education and received her Masters degree while simultaneously starting an educational technology company. However, her business venture fell victim to the recession and she is struggling to make it a success. Mucheru-Wisner, now a wife and mother of two, works hard to stay connected with her family in Kenya and Ireland and is looking for opportunities to grow and expand her business. She is an avid fan of golf and is a belly dancer and aerobics instructor on the side.
