THE KENYAN REFERENDUM VOTE: COAST SHOWBIZ STYLE (PART 1)

With thousands of Kenyans going to the polls tomorrow as early as 6am in the morning to cast their vote, we as Mambo Badd took it as responsibility to enlighten you how the Coast showbiz thinks of tomorrow's vote.

So we have been talking to several celebrities in the Coast and this is what they had to say.

1. DJ Hover

I'm voting yes juu the new constitution ina support youth na maproject za self employment. im painting it green.

My message is that everyone should vote coz u got the power to change the future of Kenya by voting and no matter what the out come is, its what Kenya wants and so accept it peacefully.

2. Rojo (Artist)

I'm supporting yes coz i want change and kenyans lets kip peace at this tym of voting au sio?? nyc day!

3. Innocent Sunday (Artist)

Ok as for me, am voting YES! Its abt tym we had a change in the way our country is governed. The proposed contitutions has erased many loopholes that are in the current one. My main concern is the level of coruption that exists in the country. As an artist, the coruption that exists in these bodies that claim to be in charge of artists works... Many artirsts cry foul for wat these organizations do. Its tym to put an end to this and this proposed constitution provides strict punitive measures to thoz hu deny artists their legal rights. YES IS THE WAY FORWARD! constitution IPIGIWE KURA!

My message to felow kenyans, is to maintain peaçe whether yes or no wins. We cant afford a repeat of what happened in late 2007. God bless Kenya, God maintain peace in our belovd country.

4. Esther Machariah (Radio Presenter - Radio Maisha)

Again lets remain responsible as Kenyans as we make our decision, remember we need Kenya even after kesho!

Frankly speaking am an officer of IIEC so i wont take sides but I will urge all registered voters to come in large numbers and participate by voting and doing so peacefully.

6. Erick Omtere (Actor / Model)

The message I have is Kenyans to maintain peace.word

Vote Wisely n Peacefully in the end, whichever passes will always favour the minority, ie. The Wealthy and in power.

8. Salvage (Gospel Artist)

Am voting NO. The reason is for my future and the future of the next generation ju sitaki waseme mababu zetu hawakutupigania and wakatuacha kwa shida.

For kenyans liwe liwalo tu maintain peace ju sote ni wa Kenya.

9. Nzula Makosi (Radio Presenter - Baraka FM)

I wont disclose if its yes or no...but I believe peace should prevail regardless of the outcome.

We are neighbours friends and lovers we should remain the same even after the referendum.

I support the claus that ministers should not be MP's. And the devolution of resources 2 counties.
