DABS DANCERS CRY FOUL OVER MOMBASA GOT TALENT

The recently concluded Mombasa Got Talent Season 1 Finals ended with a high seeing Jaridin winning the cash jackpot of Ksh 100,000 and runners up being little known Lydia. In 3rd place were the UGK Dancers and in 4th were DABS Dancers.

But not all ended in a high for some of the contestants.

DABS Dancers, who were the winners of The Rebirth Dance Competition Season 1, have cried foul claiming the winners of the competition had already been deduced even before it was over.

"Just because Ogopa Deejays were one of the major sponsors of the event really meant there was no way a dance group could have won the competition," said Brayo, one of the members of the 4 man dance team. "What they did was so unfair and not just. They should have said the winner would have been an artist to get a contract with Ogopa and we would have understood not taking us through the whole process only to see the best talents being shun down."

The dancers claim that UGK and themselves were the best talent of the night which was also evident with the crowd reaction.

"After all our efforts all we got was a certificate despite them saying the 1st four would receive prizes," said a disappointed Brayo.

The DABS Dancers are set to perform this Sunday at the Cross Roads Church in a concert dubbed RISE ABOVE which will feature Juliani, Bantu, Stroc The Band, The Chronicles, NEMEL Dancers among others.
