The Nzumari Awards which last year had been marred with controversy have been set to go down on the 7th of August at the Big Tree Beach Bar & Restaurant.
According to CEO Eve ‘Queen’ Adhiambo who spoke to us via phone assured us that this year will be different from the last. “Am currently out of the country but am ensuring that this year will not have a repeat of last year! I have 2 surprise emcees and not 1 like every year. We are having top notch décor and performances. This year’s theme is style, fashion and swagger.”
Eve informed our desk that the nomination is in the process of seating as they have received more than 100 entries.
This year sees an inclusion of several categories including:
1. Best Male Artist Nairobi
2. Best Female Artist Nairobi
3. Best Actor Of The Year
4. Best Actress Of The Year
5. Radio Show Of The Year
6. TV Station Of The Year
7. Magazine Of The Year
8. TV Show Of The Year
Last year saw Ally B bagging 2 Awards including Male Artist Of The Year and Song Of The Year for the song Mariyah. Nyota Ndogo bagged Female Artist Of The Year while Chidi Benz and Mwasiti bagged Male and Female artist respectively.
