Are you sick and tired of reading on the papers that an artist has not been paid or a promoter has disappeared with the main act’s fee? Well one guy has decided to solve that problem.
Philip Dean Kasaya of Fabroz Marketers & Event Organizers has heard the cries of the Mombasa Showbiz and as of July 1st, FUBU was formed. According to Philip, FUBU stands for For Us By Us.
“With a consultation from several artists and an inspiration from the Late Poxi Pressure, I reckoned if he could bring out MCSK why not me with FUBU,” he told our reporter. “My major target audience is actors, dancers, DJ’s, Emcees, musicians, people who hire out sound and other related fields. We are located at the German Cyber Café at Buxton near Darajani Hotel.”
According to our reports, FUBU so far has attracted close to 100 influential Coast Based artists and an informal launch is planned at Club Rio from 1pm on the 2nd of July. FUBU’s main initiative is to teach these acts all about contracts and signing performance deals. Also have pending cases of signed deals settled most probably in a court of law.
“Promoters, watch out! You have been exploiting artists for far too long!” he says as he leaves our offices!
