The two met last December in Juba, South Sudan, and Kanda was impressed by his performance during the Miss Malaika beauty pageant, where they shared the same stage. Close sources say that Kanda's producers in London, where he currently resides, have already picked one of his best hits, so Wyre will just add something on it.
Mambo Badd spoke to Wyre who confirmed the reports, saying that it was one of the biggest steps he's made in his music career.
"I'm honored just to work with this legend, for my name to be next to his is just greater than anything else," said Wyre. He has already sent his vocals to Kanda's producers in the UK and he's just awaiting results.
Wyre is currently part of the Kenyans For Change 2010 team that is moving round the country spreading the good news of the constitution.
