COULD PILSNER MFALME 2010 BE A RAW DEAL?

 It seems its not only politics this year that is receiving a short end of the stick. We approached 2010's winner of the Pilsner Mfalme DJ Competition, Coast based DJ Nelly and we got a shock on the package he got from EABL.

According to the agreement that was originally agreed is the winner of Pilsner Mfalme would get:

1. A souped up van full stocked to fit a King with state of the art music equipment
2. A brand new DJ double decked machine with its mixer.
3. A country tour to promote the brand and the new DJ
4. A radio show hosted by the DJ
5. An endorsement.

Well so far, we found out DJ Nelly has only received the 1st 2. He has been running up and down to organize his own shows and get paid, he also hustled his way and managed to land a temporal deal on KTN's brand new radio station Radio Maisha where he co-dj's along Fingawax DJ Peter Adams on Club Maisha.

DJ Nelly was recently in Mombasa attending Triple Threat organized by Quayside Media and Tabasam Records where he played alongside DJ Wesley and DJ Klash. The event was the 1st of its kind having 3 venues in one building held at Club Rio.

"Before Mfalme I hustled and co-hosted Sato Nite Live on Baraka FM with DJ Lenium and The Trybe Deejays. I got shows and now that am mfalme it doesnt stop me from still doing the same thing," Nelly told us.

According to DJ Nelly, the company has revealed some financial issues holding them back and has put him on hold.
