Word on the street has it that Groove Award winner Julius Owino better known as Juliani has fallen out with his long time tour DJ and stage manager Victor Mbeca aka DJ Vic.
It is not yet clear the reason why but in the last 2 events, Juliani has been seen with just the band without the DJ and his manager John Mark. The duet have toured most parts of the country and even went ahead to go international with several tours in Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
Juliani has collabod with other secular artists calling themselves Kenyans For Change to do a song for change titled Amua! The song Amua features Sauti Sol, Juliani and Suzzane Owiyo produced by Wawesh. The song is the theme song of the civic education process prior to the referendum in Kenya 2010 led by the Committee of Experts.
“We don’t stand for Yes or No but for read and make an informed choice,” Juliani tells us. “Soma, Elewa, Amua, Stand up and be counted.”
The video which is currently doing rounds on Facebook has been produced by Ogopa DJ’s and features prominent faces including Nameless, Amani, JuaCali, Nyota Ndogo, Achieng Abura and Nonini.
